Okay I'm just gonna get out there and say it: it's a harmful stereotype that gnomes are ceramic lawn ornaments. We can also be the ceramicist that makes the lawn ornaments. I love clay so darn much! Sometimes I even sneak a bite or two while I'm working. It just looks so yummy! To make the best ceramics you have to treat the clay veeeeeeeeeeeery gently. But even if you make a mistake, it's just a happy little accident. You can make so many things out of clay. Shoes, oven mitts, mugs, pets, trinkets, and bread just to name a few. All this talking is making me hungry.
